Adam J. Freeman, D.D.S.
Adam J. Freeman, D.D.S., D-ABFO earned his dental degree from Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine. He completed a fellowship in forensic odontology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and Center for Education and Research in Forensics (CERF) in2003.
Dr. Freeman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Odontology and currently serves as its Secretary. He is one of less than one hundred board certified forensic dentists. He is the Dental Section Chief of Health and Human Services DMORT Region 1, a federal team dedicated to identifying the victims of mass fatality incidents. He is the Founder and Director of The State of Connecticut’s Disaster Identification Response Team (D.I.R.T), and the Deputy Chair of Interpol’s Disaster Victim Identification Odontology Working Group.
Dr. Freeman lectures internationally and has authored many chapters in textbooks as well as articles on the topic of forensic dentistry.
Dr. Freeman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists (F.A.C.D.), Fellow of the International College of Dentists (F.I.C.D.), a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (M.A.G.D.)
He serves as an Assistant Professor and Director of the forensic odontology area of concentration at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Freeman was raised in Westport, he and his wife Peg raised their two children Ashley and Addison in Westport, and now has the pleasure of their first grandchild Mila, and the most recent addition to the family, Luca.
Stanley P. Freeman, D.D.S.
Stanley P. Freeman, DDS began his dental practice in Westport in 1963. He has been teaching dentistry at Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine since 1970, and is now a full Professor of Restorative Dentistry and a Senior Attending at Norwalk Hospital and â€¨New York Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Freeman graduated from New York University in 1957 with a BA in Chemistry. He received his DDS from McGill University, Faculty of Dentistry in 1961, where he was awarded the Alpha Omega Scholarship and named "University Scholar." After serving two years as a captain in the Dental Corps of the United States Air Force, Dr. Freeman completed training in the specialty of Prosthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Freeman has been awarded Fellowships in the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists, Royal Society of Health, New York Academy of Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry. The Academy of General Dentistry also awarded Dr. Freeman "Master in the Academy Of General Dentistry". He was also inducted into OKU, a dental honor fraternity, and the "Pierre Fauchard Society" The Dental Honor Society. He and his wife, Sharon, raised their four children, Adam, Sloane, Jillian and Jessica in Westport. They now enjoy Westport with their grandchildren Ashley, Addison, Sydney, Olivia, Graysen, Ryan and Matthew, as well as their great granddaughter Mila and great grandson Luca.
Brian S. Duchan, D.M.D.
Brian S. Duchan, DMD received his BA in 1972 from Queens College. He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he received the Lactona award in periodontics. He joined the practice in 1977, following a General Practice Residency at Peninsula Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York. He is a faculty member of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he actively teaches third and fourth year dental students. He has previously taught in the postgraduate dental residency programs at Yale, Danbury and Peninsula Hospitals.
Dr. Duchan has been awarded Fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists, and the Royal Society of Health. He is actively involved with the American Dental Association and is a Past President of the Connecticut State Dental Association. Both Connecticut Magazine and Westport Magazine recently voted him one of Connecticut’s Top Dentists.
Dr. Duchan is a founding Trustee of the Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach and has served in a leadership position on the Central Steering Committee of the Connecticut Mission of Mercy since its inception in 2008. Dr. Duchan is a member of the Connecticut Disaster Information Response Team as well as an emergency professional volunteer with the Westport Weston Health District. He resides in Fairfield with his wife, Lynn.
Hannah Ahn, D.D.S.
Dr. Hannah Ahn completed her undergraduate work at Barnard College, Columbia University, receiving her BA in Psychology. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Ahn's residency was completed at Columbia University – New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she attained her ceritificate in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Ahn's professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Ahn serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in the Pediatric Dentistry Department and dedicates time to teaching and giving back to the community.
Kimberly A. Farrell, D.M.D.
For Dr. Kimberly A. Farrell, an early aptitude in math and science blended with a love of artistry. That naturally developed into an interest in dentistry - that place where art and science meet. She received her DMD with clinical honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and then served as a resident at NY Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Farrell received her certificate in Prosthodontics and Implant Surgery from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She also received her Master’s in Dental Science and is published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. Dr. Farrell is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Farrell’s enthusiasm for prosthodontics stems from the many remarkable aspects of the profession: the constant evolution of technology; being part of an interdisciplinary team of clinicians providing high quality health care to patients of varying treatment complexity; and the opportunity to give people the gift of a smile and function.
Dr. Farrell is a fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists, the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, and the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. She also belongs to the American Dental Association and Connecticut State Dental Association.
When she’s not restoring smiles, Dr. Farrell is spending time with her husband, Michael, and her adorable German Shorthaired Pointer, Nelli. In her spare time, she is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor at Sudor Taino Group Fitness in West Hartford. Dr. Farrell is a hardworking, dedicated, and compassionate professional who is well rounded and understands the importance of family.
Dr. Farrell will be volunteering as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut twice per month.
